Jack and Jacqueline Callander

An old adage commonly repeated is, “There is no such thing as perfection.” My father, Jack, and I simply, unequivocally disagree. Our experience with THA Group’s Island Hospice was perfect. Our primary team members, Mia, Bunny, Stephanie and Owen, provided us with outstanding service. Clinically, logistically, emotionally, socially and psychologically we were supported with the utmost professionalism, compassion, patience and profound knowledge, every step we took during this sad and scary journey. Ellen, you just can’t do better and you are lucky. It is a complement to you (THA Group as a whole) that you recruited such exceptional personnel. For the rest of our lives, we will always remember you.

I would be remiss if I didn’t also underscore others among your group, who provided astonishing care. Nurse Andy, highly skilled, went above and beyond during demanding weekend shifts; she was a Godsend. Heather visited us; she is also outstanding on every level. Additionally, your call center phone receptionists were commendably patient, efficient, reassuring and professional when I called them freaked out, on several occasions, after hours (especially during my last call at 2:15 a.m., June 25th). By the way, how lucky were we that out nurse Mia was on call that night!

Also, we want to thank you greatly for your referral to Low Country Cremation (AKA Anderson Funeral Home). That was brilliant. They are extraordinary; their service exemplary. Be advised, my father, Jack, was a prominent minister to a large First Presbyterian Church congregation in New York. His basis of comparison in the realm of funeral service and grief counseling is highly informed. Low Country Cremation is top notch; they are superb. Continue to recommend them; one can’t do better in our opinion.

Through THA Group our needs were upheld beyond which words can describe, so it is forever in our hearts that we embrace our profound gratitude, for you all.

Warm and sincere regards,
Jack and Jacqueline Callander
